Jozef Zelenak from The University of Kansas (2007 recipient)

BIOGRAPHY:
I was born in Slovakia, former Czechoslovakia. As a child I immigrated to Canada and now live in the United States of America. As a child I lived with my parents in Zambia, Africa and saw many people who were in need of healthcare but couldnʼt afford it. Thatʼs when I decided that I want to be a physician someday and help people. Iʼve been admitted to The University of Kansas Medical School for Fall 2008 and will finally be pursuing my dream. In my spare time I enjoy playing chess and attend a public-speaking and leadership club called Toastmasters.
