NSCS Announces China Immersion Program

Washington, D.C. –For students looking to get an edge in today's global economy, there's
a new China-based program that will help them do just that.

The China Professional Training & Language Academy (CPTLA) is a four-month language and internship program in China, taking place from January-May 2009.

The program includes one month of intensive Mandarin language
training and a three-month internship for companies such as Coca
Cola-China and Motorola-China. The program is run by The National
Society of Collegiate Scholars, an honor society inviting high
achieving freshmen and sophomores.

"NSCS started this program so that American college students and
alumni have the opportunity to learn firsthand about a powerful global
economy," said Jennifer Fortney, NSCS' Senior Director, Outreach.
"Because of globalization, entrepreneurs and employees must learn as
much as they can about different countries and cultures, to succeed.
And we want to help young Americans do just that."

Participants must be a student or alumnus from an accredited U.S.
university. Deadline to apply for the program is November 17, 2008. For
more information, visit CPTLA online.
